Ken Adams
This artist uses perspective very well to make the surroundings look huge, like in the second image, the people have been drawn very small around a table with the towering screens next to them. His work tends to be done in black and white, to add depth into the image he uses shading very well this make the place look more appealing and allows the areas to look huge.
His work can help me out with the final design of my work by showing me how effective shading can be to make the image look better, and to add depth to it. This would allow my work to look more appealing to the viewer rather then it just being a 2d image.

This artist have given me some ideas on how I could design my level. I like this artists work a lot and and the style he have drawn in, out of the artist chosen I think this one is the most helpful towards my design. This is because his work is similar to my design and shows me how I can make the floating pieces of land fit in the image well.
H.R Giger
His work uses a lot of shading and only one or two colours. All of his work is based around two type of theme, scifi, and he wan an artist designer for the film Aliens. His work uses a good sense of perspective and the places he design tends to make them feel mysterious, also some of his work involves creatures and can make you feel scared and small.
His work can help me with the design of structures of building, and the surroundings to add depth to make the image feel more like a place rather then a 2d picture.
Jack Kurby
This artists work is in the style of pop art a lot of his work is around super heros. This have shown that I should try different art styles to see what is most appealing to my design, rather then sticking to my own style. His work shows that you do not need shading to make the image feel like a city, you can just change the colour on objects that are further away, this still adds depth to the image, but not in as much detail.
Design inspiration:
This artwork have given me some ideas on how to design the water flowing down from the islands. I have chosen these images because it is similar to how the design of my level is going to be. Out of the two images the first one is my favourite, this is because I prefer the art style of it. However, in the second image the further pieces of land have shown me how I can make it appear that they are far away by making the shaped blurred and fade the colour slightly.
